Today we have returning guests, Mr. Brandon Barnum physical to get the other episode we talk about referring and building a business and being doing the right things in the right business makes you do the right things. But today we're covering deal breakdown, we cover cool, interesting stories. Brandon, what is your cool, interesting stories that you have for us today? 0:21 You know, one of my favorite stories to tell is actually when I met Mark Victor Hansen, the author of Chicken Soup for the Soul, I had hired him to come speak at an event that we were raising money for a charity. And when he spoke, he was challenging the audience to write their goals now, right and create at least 101 goals. And we raised enough money in that day to send $1.2 million in humanitarian like supplies out there, which was just awesome. But the next week, my wife and I were in in Hawaii. And I took the time to really think about what do I want the rest of my life to look like? So I wrote out 338 goals on that beach. And one of them was that I want to Mark Victor Hansen to be my mentor. And that was one of the scariest calls I ever made when I came back and asked him, but he said, Yes, so one of the lessons is you've got to as k two g e, t. And one of the other goals that I had was that I wanted mark to write about me in a book by May 28 2005. Now this was a year earlier, right? And what was so cool man is that after about three months of Mark, starting to mentor me, he calls me one day, and he says, Hey, Robert Allen and I are writing the sequel to The One Minute Millionaire is going to be called cracking the millionaire code. Would it be okay, if we wrote about you? What do you think I said to that? Oh, yeah, yeah, let's go. Well, they wrote about three and a half pages about me in that book. And that book came out on May 31 2005, three days after my goal that I had said a year before. My takeaway from that experience, is that you can have anything that you want in life, you can achieve experience, manifest, attract anything you want in life, if you get crystal clear on what it is that you're after you put it down in writing, you have a dedicated date by what you want to accomplish it by and make sure that you're adding value to everybody that you can. And so that to me was like, Okay, you mean I can do anything in life. And within six months, I had accomplished like 25 things on my goal list, including meeting Bano from you to a woman to see in Vegas in two weeks. So that was just an amazing experience, and hopefully a fun story. For those of you who are listening. 2:41 know, one thing I wanted to want to hit on is you got to ask if you want to get something. That's right, you have to ask, you have to ask, you have to ask I talked about this when because we do a lot of creative finance stuff. Like if you don't ask for the deal. And you don't ask for good terms. You're never gonna get it. It's gonna ask. I think it was a cool thing. But I actually met Robert Allen a year and a half ago. Nice. Yeah, I was I was like, like, it makes it seem Robert Allen that we're that we both know, but I met Robert Allen, a year and a half ago at an event in Florida. 3:13 He's awesome. You know, I learned so much from that man. I used to teach finance for he and Mark Victor Hansen. They had the One Minute Millionaire is no sorry, the Enlightened millionaire Institute. And I taught for them several times in. So here's an awesome guy. I love Robert 3:29 Welch, quite a track record quite an interesting path that led you down to the hp.com. In such an amazing story, if you don't know, we're talking about glitching at the other episode, you'll learn a little bit more about that. But I think I think it's amazing consistency over a long time. I think I commend you for that. I think I mean, you've been doing this years, years upon years upon years. So I hope you have a long list of people that you teach and educated and mentor to along the way. And that kind of feeds down the path through generations. So I think it's really cool to see. 4:04 Yeah, I know, I appreciate that. And I'm a big brother. So I want to challenge anybody listening right now to do exactly what you just said, which is mentor somebody else. Whether it's through Big Brothers Big Sisters, which is a great organization, it doesn't take a lot of time. I've got a 15 year old little brother. Last week on Monday, we were we went and played video games and had dinner together. So it doesn't take a lot of time. But make sure that you're mentoring the next generation, do all you can to pass on your wisdom to others and make a difference so that they know you care and your life will be richer for it. 4:39 Yeah, the even though I'm young, I take that personally because I think the if everybody took on a responsibility of a younger person to teach and educate them, even if you even if you're not set and you're not the richest person you want to be and all that things, you know something they don't and you always have some type of some type of value to provide. And that's where something is 5:00 Absolutely, and you can change someone's life, right? And you never know the ripple effect the total impact that you're going to have when you invest time and energy into helping others. 5:12 I think with that, we'll end it man. 5:14 Thank you, Brandon.
